Why is it important that the butchers of the “Killing Fields” admit their crimes in front of a camera? Can a film influence international legal proceedings? Is anti-Semitism a real threat today, and should we fight against it? Can a theatrical performance provide consolation to a survivor? Can propaganda material be used as a documentary?
These and other such questions are being put forward at Urania cinema on the 26th, 27th and 28th of October, 2012, in the films and discussions of the documentary film festival, organized by Romedia Foundation, in the framework of the Requiem for Auschwitz program series.
Romedia Foundation reserves the rights to change or modify the program.
The films will be screened with English subtitles and Hungarian simultaneous translations, in some cases English and Hungarian double-subtitles.
