Kristina Bitenc (soprano)
The Slovenian soprano Kristina Bitenc (1986) started her musical career as a violin player. Later on she took up singing with M. Trcek at the St. Stanislav Institute and the Secondary Music and Ballet School in Ljubljana. In May 2009 she graduated at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she continued her master's study with Barbara Pearson. Kristina took several master classes from Matjaz Robavs, Bernarda Fink, M. Martineau and others. Kristina's concert career has been very successful up to now. She performed as a soloist at several concerts and recitals and as an ensemble singer in Slovenia, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria, Canada, South Korea and the Netherlands. Kristina sang with the Chamber Choir Megaron, the Slovenian Radio & Television Chamber Choir and the Dutch Bach Association. She has cooperated with orchestras like the Residential Bach Orchestra, Amsterdam Symphonic Orchestra, the orchestra of the Royal Conservatory, the Atheneum Chamber Orchestra, and the AKSO-Schönberg Ensemble.
